AI Disclaimer
Read this before you rely on anything Onesheet produces. It matters more here than on most services, because the document you leave with is one you are going to hand to somebody who will make a decision with it.
01No investment, financial, legal or tax advice
Onesheet provides no investment advice, no financial advice, no legal advice and no tax advice. It performs no valuation. It produces no forecast or projection. It carries out no market sizing. It makes no comparison between your business and any other. It will never tell you what a company is worth or how much to ask for, and it holds no data that would allow it to.
A page produced with this service is not a prospectus, not a financial promotion, not an invitation or inducement to engage in investment activity, and not an offer of any kind. Its contents are the responsibility of the person who wrote them and have not been verified by us.
This is a design decision, not a limitation we intend to lift. A number invented by a model and printed under a company’s name is a liability for the person holding the page, and no amount of caveat text fixes that. The only figures on your page are the ones you typed.
If you need advice on raising money, on the value of a business, or on what you may lawfully say to an investor, take it from a person who is qualified and, where required, authorised to give it. We are not, and nothing here should be read as if we were. IHS LOTHIAN LIMITED is not authorised or regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority.
02What the AI actually does here
Two things, and no more:
- It reads what you wrote and proposes a structure — which sentence answers “what we do”, which answers “who it is for”, which answers “how we make money” — and it proposes a cut list of what it thinks does not belong on one page, with a reason attached to each.
- It produces the visual base of a layout: columns, blocks, rules, margins and white space, with no content in them.
It does not write your page. It does not check your facts. It does not draw your numbers — the browser does that, from the figures you entered. It does not read a photograph and infer anything about your business beyond describing what is in the picture, when you ask it to.
03Output is not guaranteed
A model can be wrong with complete confidence. The structural breakdown may misread you, drop something that mattered, or keep something that did not. A proposed cut may be exactly the wrong cut. A layout base may be unsuitable for what you are trying to say.
- Check the structure before you accept it.
- Check the cut list. It is a suggestion, and nothing is removed from your page without you doing it.
- Check every word and figure at the proofreading step. It exists for this reason and it cannot be skipped.
The service is provided as it is and as it is available. Beyond what the law requires, we give no warranty that any output is accurate, complete, original, non-infringing or fit for a particular purpose.
04What is on you
- That the facts on the page are true, current, and capable of being evidenced if somebody asks.
- That the figures are right to the digit. A transposed number on a one-page summary can be read as a misstatement, not a typing error.
- That the page complies with the law wherever you send it, including any rule about what may be said to prospective investors or lenders in that country.
- That you have the right to use any photograph you upload and to name anything you name.
- That the line at the foot of every export stays where it is.
05Uses that are not allowed
Do not use this service, or anything it produces, for:
- Any offer, placement, listing or promotion of securities, shares, debt instruments or collective investment schemes that you are not authorised to make.
- A credit, lending or insurance application where the figures have not been independently checked.
- Medical, legal, safety-critical or life-critical purposes of any kind.
- Automated decisions affecting a person’s employment, credit, housing, insurance or liberty.
- Any document presented as audited, certified, or verified by a third party.
06Bias
Models reflect the material they were trained on. A structural suggestion may quietly favour the way a particular kind of business is usually described, and may read an unfamiliar business badly. If a suggestion looks skewed, disregard it — and tell us at support@ihslothianprojects.com, because we would like to know.
07A person is always in the loop
Nothing leaves this service without you passing the proofreading step, where what you entered is placed beside what the finished page says and you tick each line. There is no automatic export, no scheduled send, and no way for the service to publish a page on your behalf.
