Acceptable Use Policy
This policy forms part of the Terms of Service. It sets out what Onesheet may not be used for. Most of it is the ordinary list any service has. The first section is not, and it is the one that matters most here.
01Company information: the rules specific to this service
This service produces a document that a reader is meant to act on. You must not use it to:
- Fabricate trading figures, revenue, headcount, contract values, completion counts, dates or any other fact about a business.
- Present a projection, an estimate or an aspiration as though it were an achieved result.
- Mislead an investor, a lender, a grant body, a landlord, a supplier or an acquirer, whether by an untrue statement or by leaving out something that makes what remains untrue.
- Hold yourself out as a company, a director, an officer or an agent that you are not, or use a business name you have no right to use.
- Make, promote or support any offer, placement or listing of securities, shares, debt instruments or collective investment schemes that you are not authorised to make in the country where it is received.
- Produce a document that describes itself as audited, certified, verified, approved or endorsed — by us or by anyone else — when it is not.
- Reproduce another company’s confidential information, or figures you obtained without the right to use them.
A cut list is not a licence to hide something material. Leaving out an inconvenient fact so that the page reads better may make the page misleading, and that is your responsibility, not ours.
02Unlawful content and conduct
- Anything that breaks the law in the country where you are, or where the page is received.
- Infringement of copyright, trade marks, database rights, design rights or trade secrets.
- Defamation, harassment, threats, or targeted abuse of any person.
- Fraud, money laundering, sanctions evasion, or any attempt to move value through the service.
03Child safety
Content that sexualises, endangers or exploits a child is absolutely prohibited. It is reported to the appropriate authorities, including the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children where that applies, and the account is closed at once and permanently.
04Other people
- Do not upload a photograph of an identifiable person without their agreement.
- Do not upload a photograph of a site, a property or an interior you have no right to photograph or publish.
- Do not name a person as a customer, a partner, an investor or an adviser without their agreement.
- The service does not generate depictions of real people, and you must not attempt to make it do so.
05Harm
- Anything promoting violence, self-harm, or an extremist organisation.
- Instructions relating to weapons, explosives, dangerous chemicals, or attacks on computer systems.
- Content that endangers public safety or interferes with an emergency response.
06Deception
- Scams, phishing, fake invoices, fake reviews, and impersonation of any organisation.
- Election disinformation or content designed to interfere with a democratic process.
- Impersonation of Onesheet or of IHS LOTHIAN LIMITED, or use of our name or marks in a way that suggests we produced, checked or endorsed a document.
07Regulated subjects
- Financial, medical or legal advice presented as though it came from a qualified professional.
- Promotion of prescription-only medicines, controlled substances, tobacco or vaping products.
- Gambling services, adult sexual content, and services requiring a licence you do not hold.
- Any activity subject to export control or sanctions where you are not permitted to carry it out.
08The service itself
- Do not work around rate limits, the credit allowance, the overflow guard, the proofreading step, the watermark, or any access control.
- Do not scrape, decompile or reverse engineer any part of the service.
- Do not resell access, share a sign-in, or operate an account on behalf of undisclosed third parties.
- Do not run automated traffic against the service beyond any documented interface we publish.
- Do not upload anything containing malware or designed to disrupt the service.
09What happens if this policy is broken
Depending on what has happened, we may write to you, remove content, withdraw credits, suspend the account, or close it permanently. Where the breach is serious we may rescind the agreement immediately and without refund. Where the law requires it, we report.
If you think we have acted wrongly, write to support@ihslothianprojects.com and a person will look at it again.
10Reporting misuse
If you have seen a page produced with this service being used to mislead someone, tell us: support@ihslothianprojects.com. Include what you saw and where. We take it seriously and we answer.
